Finally, an apron that genuinely deserves to be shown on an alleged quilt blog. The spiderweb blocks were made with vintage fabric; the solid green and the sash/border are modern reproductions. Of course, I had to add a piece of sheeting as backing on this apron to prevent the raw edges from raveling. Top stitching the edges and a little machine quilting keeps everything sandwiched together, especially when the apron is laundered.
There’s only one more apron left to make, and I am having a hard time selecting which fabrics I’m going to use.
This apron is so cute! You’ve done such a great job on your fabric combos..and have come up with so many wonderful styles. I hope someone will take a pic of the group in their aprons at the shower?
I’d love to be a fly on the wall watching your fun party. 🙂
I have a feeling that this apron might never need to go in the wash! I think it might just be ‘for looks’! It is gorgeous!
Beautiful! I’m with Jan. I think I’d just wear it to answer the front door! LOL!
It is gorgeous! It’s a lot of work but the results are so beautiful.
It’s been great fun to look forward to your lovely aprons, Martha! I’m very excited to see the last one too.
Oooh, Martha! Another beautiful apron. I think this is my favorite! LOVE the spiderweg blocks and the color combinations.
What a stunner!!! I wish I could see your stash, I thought you might say you were using up your stash and instead, sounds as if you are going shopping at home……..oh how WONDERFUL!!!
Oh my gosh it is wonderful.
Oh my – this is breathtaking – so lovely Martha! I just can’t get over how many you’ve made, and each so unique and equally gorgeous!
Love, love, love it!
Love all your aprons – and this one is no exception. The spider web block gives a lovely handkerchief style edge and you have used a really lovely collection of fabrics. When does the book come out? If you haven’t thought about it you should!
This is beautiful! Is there a pattern for this apron somewhere? Love it!
