It’s sad . . . I’ve never embroidered a Sunbonnet Sue pattern, although I have a lot of cute Sue transfers. Here are a couple of designs published by Vogart and Alice Brooks. There is another Sunbonnet pattern by Laura Wheeler on an earlier post. As usual, click images for full size.
Vogart 105, Little Susan
I think I have all these too. I have my first embroidered dish towels in my attic, all Sunbonnet Sue. My grandma gave me the patterns one summer when I was twelve I think. Many years ago, and I’ve never stitched a “Sue” since!
Oh just love that little Susan–so adorable…hugs, Julierose
I love these! Thanks for all the vintage patterns you post.
Thank you again! – I love little girls in bonnets 🙂
These are so sweet! I have never embroidered one either, but have some vintage ones. I love the appliquéd ones, too! xo Heather
Ohhhh, thankyou soooo much!! I love them, sunbonnet sue is one of my favorites, will be making these for my granddaughter soon
These are such cheerful patterns. I collect sunbonnet pattern and am always happy to see these happy girls. I do remember reading an article though, where one woman didn’t like sunbonnets because of the days of the week and the house chores. Her comment was something like: “Dang sunbonnets, they were always so BUSY!” LOL!
Thanks Martha and have a great day! Hugs, Mickie
thx~~~~!!
Magnifique tous ces transferts. Merci de les avoir publiés.
Eu amo tudo isso! Obrigada!
