Congratulations, Carla! You are the winner of the August apron.
Even though I love the style of this apron, I now realize it was a mistake to make an apron with this type of fit. Going forward, I promise to only make “one size fits all” aprons, so everyone can enter.
I haven’t made a half apron in a long time, so I’ll be constructing one in vintage fabric for the September giveaway. Maybe it will look like one of these cute 1940s McCall’s aprons . . . or maybe not.
Congratulations to Carla!
I love the yellow apron on the right.
Congrats to Carla. I’m heading to my fabric to see what I have to make an apron for my clothes pins. I’m now using a solar dryer aka clothes line.
Thanks so much for the beautiful apron! My red plaid apron is going to want to hide in the closet and not ever come out again!
Congratulations, Carla!
Oh, looking forward to seeing your sweet half apron! Love these designs!! 😉 xo Heather
Love this pattern.
Hi Martha
I have been enjoying watching you create the aprons and loving your fabric choices. The pattern is adorable. I love the yellow one in the pattern. I do not do well with a half apron, LOL. Congrats Carla. Enjoy the rest of summer.
All the aprons you make are beautiful, and it’s ok that it didn’t fit — at least for me! 🙂 Glad Carla gets to enjoy it! I have been going through our things in storage as we’re back in my home town for the summer, and I came across a red striped feedsack dishtowel embroidered by my great-grandmother — and the design was the “8’o clock” woman embroidery you showed us awhile back, with the woman at the end of the day resting in the chair. Must have been a popular pattern! My great-grandmother was from Goodland, KS.
Congrats Carla! I love all the aprons you make!!! I do love that half apron with the garden fence~ too CUTE! Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Mickie
I do like the half aprons. I have a collection of old ones, mostly with chicken scratch embroidery, and for awhile I tied them together and used them as a valance in the kitchen.
