Who doesn’t love elephants, and these are just so cute. I’ve been organizing and cataloging my transfer collection, and I’m also trying to scan and clean at least some of them at the same time. As usual, click images to enlarge.
Laura Wheeler 740, Kitchen Towels
No instructions with these Laura Wheeler transfers, since they were cut and loose, but there was a cute newspaper clipping from 1934.
Thanks! I especially like the Laura Wheeler designs. Maybe because I’m a child of the 1930s.
Thank you, Martha! the smile on elephant’s face while she is working away at her chores is adorable!
Looking at those elephants just brings a smile to my face!
Too cute! Of course, an elephant goes to church on Sunday! Love them!

(BTW–Bears are my absolute favorite sooo if you happen to run across some of these, ummm, I sure would appreciate you posting them. Thanks so much.)
Love these cute day of the week patterns – Thank you so much!
I find your blog very interesting – the images bring with them such evocation of different historical times. I too love elephants and have embroidered several designs of my own which you might like to see http://www.addisonembroideryatthevicarage.co.uk/2013/03/08/embroidered-elephant/ and http://www.addisonembroideryatthevicarage.co.uk/2012/08/04/elephant-embroidery/
