Emily’s Doll Heart Quilt

Posted on June 18, 2012June 18, 2012 by Martha

Originally I planned to do more detailed quilting in the border of this quilt, but in the end I thought it looked better just to repeat the design in the sashing.  It’s kind of hard to do elaborate quilting on doll quilts because of the small scale and all the seams.

The binding and backing are the same vintage 1930s floral.

    Fabulous again Martha!

I finished Sammi’s quilt. Hopefully it will make an appearance on the blog this week. I used a different arrangement so I had one block leftover and I am trying to figure out how to make it into a matching doll quilt of course!

This quilt is so darling! Is there anyway you can direct me to instructions on how to make one for my daughter. I am pretty new to quilting and I am trying to get some more experience by making my girls some doll quilts for Christmas. I love this! I was browsing through you blog and you have amazing talent!

Love your “Emily’s Heart Quilt” and would like to make one for my granddaughter. Do you have a pattern (i.e. size blocks, assembly, quilting patterns, etc.)
