Emily’s Bridal Shower

Posted on August 7, 2011August 2, 2015 by Martha

The shower is over — I can hardly believe it.  Emily received wonderful gifts, and  the guests seemed to enjoy themselves.  They really liked their aprons, and they had a lot of fun creating these truly original hats.   Tomorrow I am going to take a break and finally catch up on my blog reading.  Then I’ll need to get busy, because it’s less than a month until the wedding!

Here are the 3 aprons that were left over.

If you would like one of them, please leave a comment and let me know which one you would like.   On Wednesday I’ll do a separate drawing for each apron,  if there is more than one person interested.

Now that looks like a shower I would like to attend. Your guests must have had a glorious time. I would love to have any of your aprons, and be so proud to wear it. I am partial to the lovely one with the colonial ladies on the pockets. Hope that is what I am seeing with my poor seeing eyes. Now keep us posted on the wedding preparations. It is so much fun following your efforts.

I love the pink one. It is sooo cute! I love the hankies! I loved watching you make each of these. Thank you for sharing and giving us a chance to win.

Looks like a fun time was had by all! I love the idea of making your own pill box hat to go with the custom made apron. I also love that some in the picture seem to have taken the “designing” to heart and others worked their plans to ensure that they got as many feathers as possible! Both seem to be sound approaches to the project!

I would love to be the lucky recipient of one of the gorgeous “left over” aprons. I would have to say that the one with the red flowers is my favorite – if I had to pick only one favorite!

I’d love to win one of your aprons! I really like the one on the left with the pockets.

What a fun shower!! If I were to get lucky, I would love the one in the middle (red, green and blue).

Wow, I love that photo of everyone in their aprons and hats! What a blast! I knew it would be a cracking great time for all! Time for you to take a much needed break! I know things are going to heat up again with the wedding soon!

I love all of your aprons but the one with the sunbonnets is a stroke of genius! Well done!
    Have a wonderful day off!
    Hugs,
    Mickie

What a fun looking shower, love the hats. I love the apron at the far right, it looks like you used old hankies on the points. I would love to win it. Have a great day. Thanks

Oh, I’d be delighted with absolutely either of them! T’would be an honor for sure. If I HAD to pick a fav, it would be the one with the red pocket. I’d hide vanilla wafers in there to sneak to the grandbaby!

When I first looked at the photo I thought, “Wow. Those women have beautiful skirts.” Thank you for a chance to win an apron.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of the wedding.

Sounds like a good time and such fun for you and Emily! I would love to have one of your aprons, and my choice would be the one with the blue waistband.

Enough interest, ha ha ha! They’re all beautiful! I only wished you’d have everyone line up side by side so we could see them all again. If I had to pick a favorite from your leftovers (!) it would be the center one with red flowers, since it would go perfect in my red and green kitchen. 🙂

Purple is my favorite color. So I would pick that one. I am glad the shower went so well. I was hoping it would. You put so much work into it I figured it would go on without any problems. Everyday you are getting closer to the big day! That is a very cute photo that you were able to get everyone in it.

It was fun watching you create all the aprons.

The hats are great! I can just imagine the fun! I love all the aprons, but I think my fav would be the one with the blue scalloped waist band. Thanks so much for offering to share them!

Earlier this summer I ran across your blog (perhaps through your posts on the Ferris Wheel quilt). I’ve enjoyed reading your archives. I like quilting and embroidery and aprons. Out of the three aprons here, the green one catches my eye. I hope you’ll continue posting about all you’re doing for this wedding!

I’m sure this will go down in history as the best wedding shower EVER! LOVE the hats, and the aprons, that just looks like too much fun.

More than one person interested, lol – I’ll say there is! I would love any of them, but especially the pink!

I would love to have the pink apron with the handkerchiefs. I think it is really beautiful and I would be honored to own it.I love all the things you did for the shower. Your daughter is very lucky.

Hi Martha- thank you for sharing your daughter’s lovely shower. I so much enjoyed reading about of all the wonderful aprons and would love the opportunity to own the lavender one on the left- a genuine Martha Gray creation. I would treasure it.

Oh how I would have loved to be a guest at your daughter’s wedding shower (not that we have wedding showers over here, more’s the pity). All of the aprons are extremely beautiful but if I could enter the draw, I think I’d narrow it down eventually to the middle one. Tough though…

Oh Martha, the shower picture looks like so much fun! The girls look great in their aprons and hats!
The “left over” aprons are all so beautiful that it is hard to choose only one. But I would tend to the pink one on the right, because I love vintage hankies.
Thank you for the chance to get one of your beautiful creations! 🙂

These are really wonderful. I also wish you had done a line up of all the guests in their aprons and hats. I’m putting in a request for the lavender apron on the left with the 2 pockets for my friend who does not have a blog. You have really out done yourself! Thank you for the offer and for posting the pictures.
