Emily really liked the vintage transfer I posted recently, and I think it works well on the pillow. The design is stitched with one strand of floss on a silk decorator sample (one of a lot of hundreds I purchased in a wonderful ebay auction). For the back I used scraps from the pennants, some of which were a bit too white, so this morning I painted a few of them with a little leftover coffee.
The best part of all is the beautiful tatted and crocheted edging — a gift made especially for me by my tatting blog friend, Ann (Nifty Needle). I have had this piece for awhile now, but have been saving it for something really special. A little tea dye on the white edging was all it needed, then I hand stitched it to the edge of the little sewn pillow. I hope Ann likes it — I know Emily will.
Oh, how charming! A ring bearer’s pillow and treasured keepsake… perfect!
Oh…this is sooo beautiful. I love all of your work.
Martha, this is so pretty and adorable! Love the details and the back with penants is a cute idea!

I cannot get over all the delight I see at your blog! The pillow is wonderful.
Just too cute for words!
That is lovely! I especially love the tatting, of course! 😀
