Vintage Fabric Gallery – 1930s Blues

Posted on March 2, 2010August 2, 2015 by Martha

Thank you for your concern about my stupid injury.  I am moving around a little better now, but still can’t sit or stand for very long.  I did manage to get up and take a few photos today for the vintage fabric gallery.  Although the size of my scraps varies wildly, I decided to take a photo of a similar sized rectangle from each piece for ease in determining the scale of the prints.  If you click on the thumbnails, you will see a 2 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ section of the fabric.  I am partial to blue prints with a little red.

Oh my goodness! The last week was a busy one so I have been a bit willy nilly and missed your last post. I’m so glad you are doing better!!! How many stairs did you pass on your way down? How lucky that you didn’t break anything, but you must be terribly sore! I imagine it will take some time to get back to normal so keep taking care of yourself!

Love the fabrics, especially the third down on the left. Don’t know why but I always have to pick a favorite – better to do with fabrics than kids, I guess…

That looks like a bad fall. Do take care.
The 30’s prints are so beautiful. Love the little peeks of reds.

Bless your heart…you’re stiff and sore and you’re thinking about sharing with others. You’re so sweet Martha!

I love the clear blue. Most of the repros just don’t get this color right? I’d like to order yardage of some of these wonderful fabrics. I hope the fabric designers are peeking in..I’d love to see some of these prints on the market again.

Take care and don’t push yourself.

I hope you are getting better daily. I am way behind staying in touch, and Jan mentioned you had fallen.

Love these blues. And am enchanted by the tee tiny patchwork patterns.

I love the blue and red, too. Almost as much as I love Red and White! I hope you have had a restorative week.
