This little queen was stitched mostly in the car on our trip to central Oregon and the coast. I had to change the drawing a bit to suggest a pattern I could use as the filler for the letters. I like her new necklace, and I don’t think I could have sewn that squiggly one anyway. Also, I’m not crazy about the original crown. To me, it looks more like something an evil queen would wear, and my queen is very sweet.
A sweet queen for your cute little king! I am loving each and every block. Looking forward to seeing the entire quilt put together, it is absolutely beautiful. xo
I am constantly amazed at your skill and creativity!
Oh, she is sweet! The thread you used makes her robes and jewels seem to really sparkle! I like your crown and necklace MUCH better and the jewels in the Q’s are PERFECT! This is going to be a beautiful quilt with so much to look at!

Martha, you have such an eye for detail! I completely agree about the crown, but I am not sure I would have been able to ‘see’ an alternative! I really love the gems, too!
