Hi Martha, how are you? My name is Michelle, I’m 35 years old frim Rhode Island. I wanted to write you and let you know how much I love this blog & your generous imagery sharing. The only thing I feel bad about is to not have found you sooner. I recently found one of my late grandmother’s vintage hand embroidered & painted kitchen/tea-towel set and ever since i have developed this unexplainable feeling of wanting to embroider vintage motifs. I am absolutely in love with this blog, your shared designs & vintage transfers, coloring books, and vintage anything cute gives me this wonderful feeling of excitement, euphoria, and amazing Nostalgia feeling of belonging, & how much I miss my grandma & wonderful memories of my childhood like; making rag dolls with my grandma in her first model Singer mechanical pedalling sewing machine with only 2 stitches (straight & zigzag), of us having cozy tea parties with our new dolls and daily clothing & accessories sewing (a time I had no worries, no cares, just happiness & simple love) My cousins and I with our handmade dolls & fabric/textile scraps clothings using: found buttons, cutout & appliqued motifs, lace scraps here, a pice of tulle there, pockets from upcycled jeans, lots of trims, embellishments, beads & glitter…. We used to feel like real FASHIONISTAS lol…. Everything looked good to us, the more the better, the better, the merrier! A complete adorable mess! I can tell you and anyone reading this comment that: Honest to God, I used to have more fun, child fantasy pleasures of playing & creating Fairytale stories with our immense & festive colors Pricessess rag dolls & wardrobe with my grandma & my cousins on days off from school, or on sick/rainy days Girls only! Lol
Afternoon tea-parties, or sleepovers. I had more fun & fond memories of that time gone by that I hold near & dear to my heart, than any expensive Barbie doll, or expensive toys…. (I still liked them though…lol) Ahhhh, how I miss those innocent days! (I got a little teared eye). Anyway, I’m glad I found you, I’m sad that a little too late than i wish, and I hope all is well with you and your family, pets, & loved ones, on these crazy pandemic covid days. Well, at least we can embroider and/or patchwork applique amazing & glittery face masks to mix & match right????? Jokes apart, Thank you so much! And,
    HAPPY HOLIDAYS, 2021!!!!!!
