March Apron Giveaway

Posted on March 8, 2015July 28, 2015 by Martha

Did you think I’d forgotten? No way . . . I’ve just been busy quilting, and it was hard to stop. For the March giveaway I have a half apron with a deep hem, big pockets, and long ties that will fit anyone. When I saw this fabric I thought that fat little bird would look cute appliquéd on apron pockets. The bird appliqués are fused and then outlined with running stitch embroidery. The only thing vintage on this apron is the cotton rick-rack I used on the pockets and waistband.

Let me know in a comment below if you would like to be entered in this month’s giveaway.  I’ll use a random number generator to pick a winner on Sunday, March 15.

When I visited, my Gram used to rummage in her fabrics and pull one out for me, saying “Make yourself a nice waist out of this one”. Wouldn’t our grandmothers have loved prints like this!

This is just too cute!! I went to a vintage apron exhibit at a local museum this past week…it made me thing of you. A real cute one I saw: gathered tie apron made of white organdy with a vintage printed hankie also gathered into the front-middle. I love looking at your monthly aprons!

I really admire your prolific-ness. Is that even a word? The way you turn out these sweet aprons every month is fantastic. This one is very work friendly with the deep pockets and easy care fabric. I’d love to have it.

The March apron just speaks spring. The birds are so sweet. Our birds are back from where ever they go in the winter months. Today, I saw a strange one to me. Brownish-grey back and wings with a bright yellow chest. Have no idea what it was, but it was so petty and colorful.
